Haley Grieshaber

Senior Spring Editor

Haley is a second-year MPP student at McCourt, originally from New Orleans, LA. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Political Science. In Louisiana, she worked for research think tanks, advocacy groups, the East Baton Rouge Public Defender’s Office, and the Office of the Governor. Her research interests are criminal justice reform and welfare policy. While at McCourt, she worked as a research assistant with the Justice Tech Lab and as a teaching assistant in Microeconomics. After graduation, she will be starting law school to pursue criminal justice reform advocacy work.

 
Kestner

Lauren Kestner

Senior Spring Editor

Lauren Kestner is a second-year MPP student at McCourt. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 2014 with a degree in finance and spent the last five years working in the banking and corporate finance industries. After graduating from McCourt, Lauren will be joining the IMPAQ International Health Division as a Senior Research Analyst.

Victoria Owens

Victoria Owens is a second-year MPP student at McCourt, originally from Woodbine, Maryland, She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2019 with a dual degree in Government and Politics (BA) and Psychology (BS) with a minor in Neuroscience. Victoria has worked in several Neuroscience research labs and wants to translate her research skills into a career in policy research and analysis. Her policy interests lie at the intersection of Racial Equity and Social, Environmental, and Mental Health Policy.

Sahithi Adari

Sahithi is a first-year Data Science in Public Policy student originally from North Carolina. She spent the last 2 year working in the ad tech space before deciding to switch careers. Her policy interests are in internet privacy, tax reform, and racial equity. Sahithi is currently a RA with the Massive Data Institute as well as being one of the first Racial Equity Fellows with the DC Council Office of Racial Equity. She received her B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain from North Carolina State University.

Kiran Correa

Kiran is a first-year MPP student at McCourt. Prior to returning to graduate school, she spent four years working in global health on issues such as healthcare payment, value-based care, and service delivery reform. She graduated with a BSFS from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service with a concentration in Science, Technology and International Affairs in 2016.

Nicholas Fernández

Nicholas Fernández is a second-year MPP student from the Miami area. He is passionate about electoral politics, public institutions, and improving governance. Nick graduated from Princeton University in 2018 with a degree in Politics and a certificate in American Studies.

Gloria Li

Junior Spring Editor

Gloria Li graduated from the University of Florida in 2019 with degrees in Environmental Science and Philosophy, and a minor in Agricultural and Natural Resource Law. Before coming to McCourt, she worked for a year as a policy associate at the trade association Advanced Energy Economy to expand renewable energy markets. Gloria is passionate about using her data toolset to inform evidence-based policymaking and accelerate cross-sector decarbonization, but also about things like writing, painting, and musical theatre.

Declan Murphy

Junior Spring Editor

Declan Murphy is a first-year MPP student with a focus on criminal justice, voting rights, and promoting equity. He graduated from Fordham University in 2018 with a double major in Political Science and History. Before coming to McCourt, Declan worked as a paralegal at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. Declan hopes to pursue a career promoting voting access and alternative voting systems to promote a fair and open electoral process in the U.S.
